One tongue touching another tongue
KinkaleriDecember 02, 2008 – January 10, 2009
Opening: November 29, 2008 from 18.30 to 21.00
Project Gentili is pleased to present an installation and performance by the Italian experimental group, Kinkaleri. The exhibition studies physical and psychological mystery within a field of unknown intensities. Vision is erased beyond two meters and a large chasm in the main gallery wall opens one space to another—here and there, actual and virtual, me and you.
Kinkaleri was founded in 1995 and has since produced plays, performance pieces, installations, videos, soundtracks and publications, all characterized by mixed language and transversal signs which invite rapid redefinition. The group’s unique structure and mode of production conditions the impulse of their work—to throw into sharp focus the relationship between the object and the field to which it refers. Kinkaleri is based in Prato, Italy and currently consists of Matteo Bambi, Massimo Conti, Marco Mazzoni and Gina Monaco.
From the installation One Tongue Touching another Tongue, Kinkaleri will develop a series of photographic prints, available following the vernissage.
