How to remember a non represented past ? In other words, how to remember (make memory) with the memory of the other, because ours does not exist ?

From the accumulation of cinematographic material produced by the author, a topographic and lecture activity is proposed, exploring situations and communities´s representation from another perspective.

Archivo Porvenir is an ongoing archival and performative project started by Xavi Hurtado in the late 90s´. The archive material is a type of cinema considered minor, sometimes called ephemera , sometimes “sponsored”, distributed for Latin America from the ´40s to the ´70s by intelligence services and colonial powers. The archive as been presented for the first time publicly at El Parqueadero, Biblioteca Luis Ángel Arango - Banco de la República, Bogota´, Colombia, in 2008 and since September 2011 Hurtado engaged it in a live montage and dialogue on the potentiality of narratives it embeds and “the necessity of performing bodies in order to unfold them” A.
